Cat Door

So Jeff and I had this idea to put a cat door in the wall so that Kona can use her litter box in our utility room and the door will be shut so the dogs don't get in there (you need only imagine what they do in the litter box).  We thought it was a great idea.  Kona did not.  She does not like to push the cat door open.  So we, being the problem solving sort, used some blue masking tape to keep the door open.  A few months later, Caleb discovered the tape and decided to take it down. That's okay, it looked tacky anyway.  Once again we were faced with the cat door dilemma.  So we decided to do a little creative problem solving and use a drill, some string and a cup hook to keep the door open from the inside.  It would have been much handier if the door were made to come in and out depending on the stubbornness of each cat.  But no.  So as we were completing our little project, Caleb decided he wanted to have a part in it too. Next he'll figure out the string and cup hook and we'll be back to square one.  For now we will just hope that Kona decides this new system is up to par.
