-the bathtub (which he can now climb into himself, don't worry everyone it is always empty if we are not present)
-his rocking chair in his room, where he reaches a few books and stuffed animals and "reads"
-the dog beds (yea for three dogs and lots of dog hair)
- the kitchen pantry (when mom forgets to close the door) where he finds his favorite snacks
- Daddy's nightstand drawer (oh the treasures that can be found here. . . Ipod, compass, pencils, whistles, watches, cell phone, gift cards. . .and more. You name it, dad has it in his night stand and Caleb WILL find it)
- Mommy's jewelry box (the bottom drawers are perfect for Caleb to reach into; I think he likes my pearl necklace the best!)
- and last but not least . . .the dog water. . .YUM!
Just last week Caleb came out of our bedroom jamming to Jeff's Ipod which he had managed to turn on! He frequently changes the settings on Daddy, which I think is hilarious. After all, I'm always begging Jeff to clean off his nightstand. Caleb just helps remind him. Caleb already thinks his Daddy is the best in the whole world and loves sifting through his stuff. He likes to wear his shoes, hats, shirts, gloves and play with his treasures. It also helps encourage Caleb to visit Daddy's side of the bed because I childproofed my nightstand (too many breakables for little hands). Here are some pictures of Caleb caught in the act.
Caleb grinning when he saw the camera!
Caleb sits in this chair and says "rock, rock, rock" or points and says words he knows from books. Sometimes he even pretends to read. Gotta love it teachers!
Yup, that is one of the hairy dog beds he loves! He loves them even more when the dogs are sleeping on them!
Caleb thinking, "Wouldn't it be fun to wear daddy's hat IN the bathtub?"
